Steve Locke

In 2010, Steve was appointed Co-Lead of the Sentinel fixed income team, with lead portfolio management responsibility for the Sentinel investment grade bond mandates. Steve joined the Sentinel team with Mackenzie’s acquisition of Howson Tattersall Investment Counsel (HTIC) in 2008, continuing in his role as lead portfolio manager on all HTIC fixed income mandates. He came to HTIC in 2003 as a portfolio manager in the bond group. In 2005, he was appointed to Senior Portfolio Manager, charged with leading the management of all fixed income portfolios at HTIC. Steve currently manages over $11 billion of fixed income mandates for both Sentinel and HTIC.

Steve has over 15 years of experience working with both large institutional and retail bond portfolios. Prior to 2003, his work experience includes five years managing insurance, pension, and retail segregated fund portfolios in Canada, as well as several years as a credit analyst and bond trader.
Steve is a holder of the CFA designation and has an MBA degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
